My wife and I began with our Internet marketing career on eBay. To everyone who is starting out, I highly suggest you to use it to learn some of the basic principles of Internet marketing. You will also acquire the skill in customer service for an online business. You learn a lot with it in those respects. It's a great place to begin an Internet marketing career.However, eBay does have its limitations, and that's why we chose to move on to a real website; a more static website which requires a lot less weekly work than an auction site does. I highly suggest anyone starting out go ahead and clean out your closets, sell whatever you can, have a garage sale online learn how to write the copy, take the pictures and find the key words, etc. Yes, it is a lot of work, but it's a very good experience for those just starting out.I do not suggest beginning with one of their "stores."
